India Wins the 2nd medal in 2008 Olympics - A Bronze in Wrestling!

There it is people, as I said earlier, India has won the 2nd medal in olympics. Suhil Kumar has won the Bronze in Men's Freestyle 66 kg wrestling. That is Awesom...er! I really hope Jitender wins a Gold in boxing. Man we are getting better.

So people watch before you throw ill comments about Indian medals in olympics. We kick Ass! Well It's better to say... we are beginning to kick ass. Go India go!

Man, this is a dream come true. India has finally managed to win a gold in an individual event in olympics! This is mother of all awesomeness! This sure will boost the enthu of rest of the campers. Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in 10m air Rifle.

India’s Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle in Beijing on August 11 with an incredible performance in the final. Bindra shot a total score of 700.5.

China’s Zhu Qinan, gold medalist at Athens 2004, won the silver medal with a total score of 699.7.

The bronze medal was won by Finland’s Henri Hakkinen, who was leading the field after the qualification round, but was unable to hold off Bindra and Zhu in the final. The Finnish shooter shot a total of 699.4.

The rest were ay out of the legue. Man, this is Legendary! Indian Nationalanthem wil be played in china this time. What a proud moment. Go india go!

Do Humans Have Only 23 years to Go?

I read about this article in Daily Galaxy news. Its a pretty awesome site for daily update on whats happening in the universe. So here, the Institute for the Future is inviting the world to play Superstruct,the worlds first massively multi-player forecasting game. It’s not just about envisioning the future—it’s about inventing the future, creating superstructures to solve and counter super threats facing the planet.

It seems based on an year long Super-computer simulation, the Global Extinction Awareness System (GEAS) has reset the "survival horizon" for Homo sapiens from "indefinite" to 23 years. Yea... 23 years! The GEAS president Audrey Chen said "The survival horizon identifies the point in time after which a threatened population is expected to experience a catastrophic collapse, is the point from which it a species is unlikely to recover. By identifying a survival horizon of 2042, GEAS has given human civilization a definite deadline for making substantive changes to planet and practices.”

Well, 2042 is definitely not the end of the world for us. Obviously. But, it does emphasizes in changing our daily practices towards the environment. So definitely somewhere down the line, the human race will be extinct just like any other species. But, may that be in millions or billions and not just a few thousands. Even the Dinosaurs managed 88 million years of survival before, being supposedly hit by a meteor. We are only 200,000 years old!

Diablo 3 - And the Heavens... Shall Tremble.

The dark lord is setting his foot back again... only this time its in Heaven. Finally, Diablo 3 is official and Blizzard entertainment is working on it. I checked out their Cinematic Teaser and Game play Demo. Freakin' Awesome!

All these years I have been praying for this and finally its happening. The piss off here though is that, it was made official on 28th itself and I ca to know about it only day before yesterday. But that's OK man. By 2010, I guess we'll have have a wonderful game to play and kick some bestiary ass.

Decard Cain's own Journal is included in the site, which he himself will read it out for you. Check that out. They have improved graphics and 3D rendering. The game play is slightly different. What's making this Diablo 3 awesomer is that this time you can use the environment to your advantage.

Yea, on my previous post I had written about the Dasavatharam movie right? After that movie I was walking down the Garuda mall, and there was a promotional event going on, that was conducted by Gillette Mach 3 guys... rather girls.

Anwin was with me and he asked me to ask what should we do to get the free Gillette mach 3 turbo that were were advertising about. I checked an turned out that we need to experience the mach 3 turbo and we get a razor free! That was an interesting challenge. He he... yea, I went and took a shave right at the center of the mall. Got a mach 3 turbo free!

Dasavatharam - Movie Review

Yesterday morning I saw this long awaited movie Dasavatharam. If you ave not seen the movie yet, go ahead and watch it. It was a very good movie.

I give a 7 out of 10.

Why only 7?

What was awesome?
Dude, its Kamal haasan's movie. It was awesome by default. The concept, screenplay, he 10 different roles, Dialogs, he "Kallai mattum kandal..." song.

What is Bad/Annoying?
Asin and Kamal's scenes when running away with the statue. They could have made it less monotonous and more logical.

What could have been better?
The Graphics. Yes the Tsunami scene was good. But the initial part of the movie had (in my terms) very bad graphics. You would notice it only if you are watching it in a theater. Those graphics were not worth the wait.

Did I like it?
Yes, I did.

Will I watch it again?
Yes, why because, just like any other Kamal's movie, one has to watch it more than once to understand the movie completely. There are a few small things I did not understand and I'd like to clarify those.

Overall, you could feel that its a K.S. Ravikumar movie at few places and otherwise, given the complexity of the storyline, hats off to the work done on that. And Kamal, you were Awesome!

Have you ever woken up a fine morning... pissed off? yea, totally pissed off. Today morning, I woke up pissed off for the first time ever (as much as I can remember). Well, I wake up, sit and think why am I pissed off? Well, came up with a few reasons (about 3) and one of it is that chennai lost yesterday after that good fight. I mean, definitely they did their best but when they had to prove their moment of truth, they failed. Hmm... Still digesting. The other 2 reasons is going to take a while to subside, but hey it feels good to be pissed off.. for a change.

NM: You need 4 things before you can think of starting your own venture:
1. Idea. The key idea or concept of the service or product you want to sell in the market
2. Market value of the idea. You must have a basic level of confidence in the fact that the market values your product and is willing to pay for it.
3. Team. You must have a team of complementary skillsets - so identify your own strengths, and find people who have different, but complementary strengths.

Personality Makeover

Hmm... from my recent analysis of myself, I understand that I have not been the way I wanted to be in a few aspects for a very long time. Something I always wanted to change back to ever since a few weeks after I came to Bangalore, few years ago. But never did, thinking that it might affect others. But turns out that if I had been the way I wanted to be, then few things might have been a little different. Well, for good or bad I don't know.

Having said that what all am I going to change? Well, nothing too much immediately. The total change might take from 4 to 8 weeks.

I'm going to try this, and see how it goes. But here I'd like to give the following outcomes so that my changes don't negatively affect people around me.

1) No 3rd chance. Well, I already have this but was never strict about it. But from now on, totally.
2) Straight forward... no matter what! - I'm just going to say things to people what I feel instead of sugar coating them or not telling them at all. This means few might sound rude, but people, analyze them and do not take them personally.
3) Going to be more aggressive about everything and all the time.
4) And its time to party baby! so, am gonna be getting down on few things. Well just for the heck of it.
5) And finally couple of things that I don't want to spill right now. You guys will know it, and know it well in just a few days.

And girls, don't worry, this is not going to make me any less awesomer. This is only going to get better!

Think this will be quite interesting, to be like how I was long ago and mixing it with few new changes as well. May this be for the good!

Seriously, id this the worst coded official website ever?

In the 1st picture, the match was between, Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals. Why does the score card display Kings XI Punjab against Delhi's Score?
And in the 2nd picture, the scores are displayed incorrectly. It was Chennai that scored 240/5.
Not just that generally who ever bats first their score card is displayed first for user's ease of understanding. But here its the other way round.
Well, if you think these were the only mistakes that ha happened, well wait. Try launching tese pages with IE. This is the result.
How are we suppose to view the score? 2 lines at a time? I can't re size this page at all. Well... looks like if I spend even 10 more minutes, I think I'll find enough bugs for those developers to work for the next whole week!

For a very long long time, Ive been wanting to read few books, but I can never sit to read a book constantly till I complete it. I don't know. May be because I don't consider that as my primary hobby. Well, some habits need not be your primary hobby to do it continuously. Now, I have figured out that I need to start reading books. A lot of it. I always like reading books, but for some reason, I lost that habit. I think Anwin can give some tips. Anyone, for a matter of fact. I want to read more books and I want to know how to stick to that habit. Aahhh....

New year vows that I think I could have.

Today, 3 people till now have come and asked me what are my new year vows. I've never had any new year resolutions till date. I never wanted to, but these are the ones that I can think of having if I have to.

1. Will be more efficient and manage natural resources.
2. Will stop accepting things as it is and start contradicting when required.
3. Will bring down my tolerance level and oppose things that are really ill-mannered or offensive, even if it's as simple as talking mouthful or slurping a cup of coffee.
4. Will be less forgiving when people make mistakes for the second or third time.
5. Will not compromise anymore on things that could stop the results that I need.
6. Will stand by my words when I know I'm right and will not give up just to avoid arguments.
7. Will complete reading a book when I start one.
8. Will not forget even once when I know a particular favor/help affects some one else, even if its as simple as bringing a bike key.
9. Will go out of this country for a vacation.
10. Will follow all of the above.

What is real?

This story is going to be a trip. So, buckle up and visualize everything you read.
Recommended: some weed or alcohol before you go further. Or at least imagine that you are on one of these things.

Last week, one of the nights, I was sleeping lying down sideways. A nice and sound sleep. Suddenly I feel some weight on my shoulders and it slowly moving towards my neck. I could see that my mind is trying to find out what it could be without having to open my eyes. But not able to find, I open my eyes and see a huge wounded snake on my shoulders with its head right in front of mine... looking at me. I freaked out and this time I was pushed to really open my eyes and come out of that scene... that dream...

I touch my shoulders which did really felt heavy few seconds ago. For if it wasn't heavy I wouldn't have even continued on that trip, would I? And after that I couldn't get sleep for some time. Not because I freaked out, but normally once I wake up, I can't get to sleep soon. Anyway, Nothing new but what I was amazed was how real was that compared to having the snake on your shoulders when your awake? that is supposedly real! If I couldn't wake up from that dream AT ALL, and if I got bitten, how different would I have been from death? Would my mind come to rest after that at least, assuming that I am dead. Ha... that sounds foolish, If my mind's assuming then its not resting. So how do I say it? Would I have gone into an endless state of sleep? but alive!
So whats the difference between our supposedly real world and the dream world? At this state I clearly see none! So how could we ever label anything as real?
And if this question is true, then can there be real pain? can there be real love? If we are convinced that a dream is not real, then what we claim real itself is being put to test. So isn't it foolish to say I had real pain and my love for her is real? But it all looks SO real and it does pain and we do feel the agony when we are hurt. You do care for someone and that feeling of care is true and therefore you can still call it real or true love and pain. Complicated. We can agree on that part, but we can never deny the fact that it holds a huge amount of illusion!
At this stage I can only say that it is huge amount of illusion and not complete illusion even if it probably is. I've written so much now, that I don't know how to finish this. I'd rather not finish. I just hope that all this is a big dream and I'll wake up from all this one day to realize the REAL real!

Some deadly weapons in Kung fu

The Butterfly Sword - The butterfly sword is usually wielded in pairs. As well, they are usually held side by side within the same scabbard, so as to give the appearance of a single weapon. The sword has also a small cross guard to protect the hands of the wielder, which can be used to block or hook an opponent's weapon. The guard can also be used as a knuckle duster when non-lethal application of the weapon is desired.

Double Sticks - These are simple short slender, blunt, hand-held, generally wooden 'sticks' for fighting such as a staff, cane, walking stick, baton or similar. These are held in both hands while facing the opponent. One could defend more than 1 opponent with this weapon.

Long Sticks - These are simple long slender, blunt, hand-held, generally wooden 'sticks' for fighting such as a staff, cane, walking stick, baton or similar. Both Long and double sticks are practised in many martial arts. In Tamil Nadu you could find a lot of these stick fight experts. Its called Silambam.

Nunchaku - The otherwise called "Dual Section Staff" is a very effective close-range weapon. When used in combat the nunchaku provides the obvious advantage of an increase in the reach of one's strike. Somewhat difficult to control, the rope or chain joint of the nunchaku adds the benefit of striking from unexpected angles. This is my favorite.

Sai - The sai's utility as a weapon is reflected in its distinctive shape. With skill, it can be used against a long sword by trapping the sword's blade in the sai's tsuba. The sai also has many defensive uses in blocking other weapons. In Malay the sai is known as a chabang (also spelled cabang/tjabang, meaning branch) and is thought to derive from the Indian trident.

Blackpool, Pleasure beach theme park

All of us like to enjoy a day on theme park. Theme Parks are not just for kids. Especially, this Blackpool theme park has some amazing rides. the Avalanche, Big Dipper, RollerCoaster rides are awesome. They have got some great restaurants and food joints. The Pepsi big one is one of the best rides I've ever been in any theme park. In my review, I'd give a 5 stars for the ride and the facilities they provide.

Another thing I can't forget about the park is their Hot ICE show. that's really hot and awesome. The forbidden is good as well, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did hot ice. They also have pleasure beach holidays where you could enjoy a great stay at a hotel, nice food from White Tower restaurant, Hot ice and the forbidden shows or just rides if you choose so. You can check in their site for the history of the park and other information. Its quite interesting.

October 21st 2007 - A Day with few surprises

8:20 AM - The door bell rings. and a guy asked for 10 bucks and said he will clean our bikes for it. Said he is doing this part time to pay his fees.
8:21 AM - I get a bucket of water and by then the guy is gone.
8:23 AM - I search for my mobile and its missing.
8:25 AM - Nafisa walks back from shop and finds that guy going with 3 other guys on bikes.
Result - The mobile is stolen and the guy escaped. 1st surprise!

Later that morning I try to figure out a way to trace the mobile, with my efforts in vain, we start off to MG road for shopping. It lasted till evening.

4:40 PM - We came back home and got down form auto.
4:50 PM - Anwin discovers that his $20 Zippo lighter is missing and its lost in the auto rickshaw that we came in.
2nd surprise!!

I go to the police station, and trying to lodge a complaint. A theft complaint. The police is reluctant to lodge an FIR. Told me that I have to come to court and follow it up properly. I agree, but still they prefer giving me a report but not FIR.

About...
5:30 PM - I call Airtel to confirm if they can track my mobile if I provide my mobile identification number. Earlier that morning a guy said he can if I send them a copy of FIR with IMEI number of mobile. Later they say they can't do a jack to trace the mobile.
Surprise No. 3!!!

Well, now I have no way out. Looks like there is no way to track down that bastard. Aahhh....
So I just get the report form them and come back home. I start calling different house owners to find a house while Anwin and Nafisa were out searching for a tailor.

6:40 PM - Anwin calls me and tells my bikes petrol tank is dry and they are no where near a petrol bunk. The thing is I rode the bike in main and suddenly we discover that there is no more fuel to move. So now the bikes' fuel indicator is gone.
Surprise no. 4!!!!
And then the day seemed little better with no significant activity after that. Should I call it quite a bad day???

I've become a Father.

OK, One of my close co-worker has become a father last week and he happily announced it to all of us immediately, by calling the office. Everybody congratulated him and all the usual stuff. But I have no mind to congratulate. I find no reason to be happy.

One more soul in the world that's going to suffer... One more life in jeopardy... One more to increase the world population and consume his/her part of resource. OH... MY... GOD!!!!!!

It certainly looks awkward when every one greets him (who came to office later) for becoming a father and I alone sit at my place with no feeling for it. I did feel awkward, but who cares. I stand by my thought. If you really want a child, please.... please... adopt a child and teach him good culture. Give them orphans the life they deserve. That way the world population is not increased. A new soul is not brought into this world to go through all the sufferings that you had to. One more child gets support and you will be happy that you have become a father. Doesn't that sound awesome? I don't know... many of my friends will acknowledge this but will they follow it? - I don't know. I can only hope. But I'm talking so much about this today... Will I stick to it? - Well, this I can answer. No one can predict future, but a strong will and ambition can always let you pursue what you want. That, future cannot stop. So, hoping that my will, will not let me down, I will follow this. I'd like to put it this way so that people don't come up with statements "We'll see you after 5 years".

So, Anwin, Anoop, Nafisa, Sanjeeb and I went to Octoberfest this Saturday and it totally rocked! We all had about 2 liters of beer each... and munched few roles and pokodas as well. We were there for about 4 hours and the music was really good. the best part was the beers were draught beers caned and cold. The pricing was pretty cheap. A can of 500ml of beer was just 50 bucks! They had a nice Toyota F1 car on display. Along with it were 2 chicks. And a row of all vintage cars. It was a pretty good and organized well I should say. Towards the end a DJ came on the stage and started playing some trans kind'a music and we all started dancing. The dancing alone might have gone for like almost 1 hour. The next day was pretty bad though. Bad body aches... Still not completely recovered I should say.

For a long time now, you all know that I live at the 404. Now, we all are moving away. Arun got married and left the house last year. Mahesh moved to live with his parents. Ram Kumar got married and moved away this year. Madhu settled in Chennai only becoming a rare visitor. That left only Anwin, Naveen, Anoop and me.

And another person who is in Chennai and when ever we accidentally call when we were tripping and claims that he is at the Bangalore airport and wouldn't mind getting picked! By that I mean
leaving the booked flight and taking the one next morning ;-) - The Liver Slayer. We also call him Renie.

Too many memories in that house I should say. I'm just listing 5 of the best trips we had there at 404 in no particular order.

1) We played a drinking game long ago when Arun, Madhu and everyone was with us. And turned out that Sanjeeb was the one getting totally drunk. Turns to Anwin and Arun and tells "Anwin, Arun, you both are not wearing T-Shirts.... you are Gay!!!!"

2) Yet another day... there goes a bet. Arun Challenged me if I can drink as much as he can. You know What I would have said... I accepted it and we both finished little more than 1 full Old monk. Then what happened? I puked for the 1st time in my life because of over booze. I threw up like at least 6 or 7 times. I don't remember anything after that.

3) Home made videos - As usual Renie was here and we all decided to watch a movie. We watched the Ghost Rider. Came home and wondering about what we can do next. Renie comes up with the idea of making a home made movie. Cut. Next scene, we are making a movie. Anoop, Renie, Anwin, Naveen and I were making the movie. Just for the record, Renie was a prostitute. hehehe... That movie never was released. Renie its still pending...

4) The Iron maiden night - This was another awesome party. Invited many people home and bought like about 4 Full old monks and vodkas and a 10 meter manner. We painted a 10 meter banner and 2 small banners for the Maiden's Matter of life and death concert. That was one hell of a night.

5) The Ring road ride - Yet again, Renie was here on his car. We were already drunk before renie came in and planned to go for a ride in the ring road after we were already half stoned. Still we go and get 2 Monks and some coke and start the ride. After about 3 hours we were at the same place where we started. But trust me that was one awesome trip.

So many of these trips and not to forget the number of Circles we would have had on the terrace, Kitchen and Living room. And the circle still continues...

Hope all of this will still continue in the new place that we are going and keep us insane... or... I'd say Psyched for some more time.

Summer holidays are always short. But for that I'd say, all good things eventually does come to an end. So yea, that means we are preparing our kids for yet another year of school.

My kids are in a residential school and you'd know the reading habits are not that great. So, for us, Innovative Tutor is a solid option. My kid sure needs a plan to increase his interest in reading. Not even books like Harry Potter or Narnia could make him read a book.

Paintball - The war is on!!!

Hey guys, this Sunday, we went to paintball arena and that was awesome. Renie had come with Martin, Siva and Pochi joined us too. Anoop, Sanjeeb, Naveen, Anwin, Nafisa, Jackie and I went to a resort called ConfidentCascade. They have a wonderful paintball arena. And luckily there was another team from Trilogy. About 10 people joined us and we played against each team. That was an awesome experience.

Our Zombie guy has struck a deal with the resort that we'll visit them regularly. Now that is going to be cool. So sure the next one's going to be planned very soon. It was a good trip from the time we left house. I'm not able to walk/climb up or down the stairs... or kick start my bike easily, but still am sure I'll go for it again. Click here for the pictures.

Guys, I have bought a Royal Enfield Bullet 350. Its 1974 model and maroon colour. The thump is awesome. It has got a few issues like broken indicators, the seat and gear etc. But the only big and very important issue I feel is the oil and fuel leakage. Will have to check that up before I take it for a long ride. Now we have 3 Enfields at home.

Thinking of doing some modifications to it a lil later. Lets check the performance and then go for them one by one.

Have we always been cribbing about Less money being divided among more people, about more traffic jam, about lot of bad politicians, bad cops, bad people, over consumption of resource, over population?

Yes.

But have we ever thought what we are going to do about it?

No.

What can we do about it? We can't do anything about it. We can't go and stop bribery, we cant go and check in every house if the energy consumption is done effectively, we cant control the traffic jam... Yes, non of this practically possible. But I'm sure we can realize our responsibility and work towards it.

That's a brilliant post. All that we need to do is make sure you don't have more than 1 kid, or possibly non for next 5 or 10 years. And if that costs you next generation itself, I'd say sacrifice it for your country. Am sure that is possible. If you are desperate, adopt one. And make sure you don't waste water or energy, make sure you drive properly with self discipline, you stop taking bribe. That's all it takes. Am sure that is 100% humanly possible. Then you know what, we will be stopping bribery, we will be consuming less energy, we will be controlling the traffic, and we will be for god sake controlling the population!

All that we need is self discipline and Am sure its no great deal to cultivate it. We don't need a revolution for this.

Sivaji - The Boss

Hola people, I wanted to write about this last week after I saw this movie, but as I was in training, I did not find time. So I'm writing what ever I wanted to write one by one.

Last week I watched this movie Sivaji. I should definitely say that it was one awesome movie for die-hard Rajini fans. But, it had its own good and bad things. For the 1st time, I felt that non of the scenes really got registered in my brain as much as how all his other movies did. As usual Sankar is dealing wit one of the anti-social elements. He deals with Black money stacked in the Indian economy and how Rajini converts them into white. Well the script has brilliance in it, and all the Rajini elements to satisfy his fans, but you'd somehow feel that Sankar could have been even more creative in this movie. Lots of excellent art work in the movie, absolutely brillient! At the same time, the presentation of the1st song reminds you of "Andan kaka" song from Anniyan. Similar painting ideas on the extras, and similar kind of costumes etc.

But as a Rajini fan, I'd say the movie was excellent and that surely was a feast for the Rajini lovers even though the story wasn't that greatly crafted. And choreography was really good, locations were awesome and sets were well done. Sankar has made Rajini work hard in this movie, which reminds me of KB in old days. And last but not least the comedy track was really good too. Vivek had done a brilliant job.

Overall, Sivaji - The Boss Rocks!!! A must watch!

Well, I should have titled it as 'Arrest the victims'. You all must have heard about the Karnataka's Ban on women working late. Very interesting isn't it. What I dont understand is that how this is actually going to protect women?

Is all Rapes and molastations are happening only after 8PM? May be it could hapen because of excess drinking of '8PM';-), but, not otherwise. Or is it impossible to rape someone before 8PM? Mahakavi Bharathi should sure be proud that he was not born in Karnataka, but sure should be ashamed to be born in this country. By law, no one has the power to say Women or men cannot work in the night. They asked fo protections and not lockups.

On top of all that, Wome in IT and ITES are excluded from the rule. Is it because no one rapes IT women, or is it that they donr need protection. Just becdasue they cannot afford to do that to IT women and if they did the IT companies will stand against it and it wil potentially bring down future IT inverstors, they choose not to protect IT women. Excellent Idea isn't it?? Moreover, Karnataka CM has declared that Sex education will not be included in the schools because its against our culture!

Well ladies, what do you expect in a country that gives arrest warrant for kissing? We have the most slutty abominable people in this country. Lets atleast hope to build our next generation better, afterall we've always been good at that!

Yes, that's what we wrote on a 10 meter banner for the Iron Maiden concert. It took us whole of the night to write it. We measured it, Spaced it equally and started writing the outline. Then we started painting it. Sure that was a pretty painful job, but we are really happy for that. Yesterday we saw that on a video in YouTube.

I just hope that It comes in the next Metal movie.

Hello Everybody, It's been a very long time since had posted anything. Today I have something interesting to post. We made a movie yesterday at home!!! We went for he Ghost Rider movie yesterday. except for the Bike and the characterization of the Ghost rider, the whole movie was a crap. We came back and started... drinking.. what else?? And we suddenly we decide to make a movie. We thought of a concept and implemented it too.

It was absolute madness!!! Trust me. One of our friends from Chennai turned up yesterday and every time he turns up, some crazy stuff will surely happen. This time, it was Movie!

Naveen, Anwin, Renie and I were the characters in the movie. Anoop was the cameraman and Director. It is just a 6 or 7 minutes movie, but it took around 4 hours to shoot. I'm not going to tell the story... Let the movie get released. You can see it for your self.

Lunch at Fisherman's Cove!

After a long long time, I'm writing a post today. Seriously, I made it a point to write it. I had been to Mahabalipuram today because we had a client visit in my office and this outing was a part of his hospitality. I was not ready to take up the offer of going with the client, because, No.1 he is 50 years old, No.2 He drinks very less, No.3, He has a young daughter, who he left behind at his home country when coming here.

Anyway, let me tell you what happened. I'm telling you only the 1st part of the trip. Cos only that was interesting. Part 2 is not that interesting. We all shared and left to Fisherman's Cove (A Taj resort). We went there for lunch. What a place man, babes everywhere. Beach attached. They have there own private beach. Believe me. Didn't find any chick there though. there is a beautiful beach side tales, where you can eat, and there is a separate buffet hall inside. Some good chicks were seated in the buffet hall so we headed to have a buffet.

Couple of us Ordered Wine, and other 2 ordered bear. It was only a 5 people trip. and the other one does not drink(So sad, he doesn’t know what he is missing in life), anyway, we completed our lunch and the client asked me if I want to taste Cognac, a Remy Martin XO cognac. He said its a wonderful wine and one of the expensive ones. He asked the other guy and me if we wanted to taste it. Well, you know what we would have said ;-)

All three went to the table that had the cognac bottle and he poured them into 3 glasses. Just a small in each (anyway, my company was going to bare it ;-)). So we all took our glasses and came back to our table.

Cheers...
then I sip, already expecting a wonderful taste... My expression changes... so does the clients' and the other guy's.

Me: Is this original?
The client: Its bad.. he keeps his face like yuk...
The other guy: You sure its wine?

We all left the rest in our glasses and wait for the water to come.
Me: Why does the Cognac taste bad? Is that original?
The client: Yea can you tell me why it tasted bad?
Waiter: Sorry sir, that's just some powder mixed water... that’s a show piece, you need to order to drink.

Shit... What the f#$%, what have I drunk? #$%^&#$$#

With an embarrassed face I look up and...
Waiter (consoles): Its OK sir, that water does not harm you.

Well, just when I thought nobody was watching, the other guy' asked ye another question to make my situation even worse...

The other guy: Why isn't there a board or something to tell people, that its just show piece.
Waiter: Everyone here knows sir, that its a show piece, we can' leave these grade of wine on the tables. They will have to be ordered sir.

That’s it, he simply meant, that it’s only you jerks who didn’t know that.

Next scene:
We pay the bill and leave the place.

What a sad ending man. We then head to Mahabalipuram...

Hello people, haven't posted anything for a long time now. As you all know the last race of F1 was over this weekend. Michael drove his last race. What an amazing race that was. Ferrari was at its best. Schumacher had about 30 BHP increased in his car. But fate... Should I have said that?

He started 10th and was fighting all the way to come in front, until McLaren screwed his tyres.
Became last then again came to 4th position. Now that is not possible by any driver.

Teaming up with Ferrari, Massa on the other hand taking 1 sec lead by every lap. That was indeed an excellent lap. Never we will be able to see Michael on track. But I'm not disappointed as Ferrari has still got excellent drivers to work with Next year. Kimi and Massa.

And Alonso unfortunately teamsup with McLaren next year. This is enough reason for Ferrari to be confident of leading constructor points next year.

There again, Ferrari won the Chinese Grand prix. All who saw should have seen that Schumi came to the 1st position from the 6th place. Well, how did he do that? Ferrari's Strategies obviously and his skills ofcourse. 2 more races to go and he has already equaled Alonso in championship points.
You can read it here. And Ferrari's construction points are just 1 less than Renault, which I'm sure will catchup in the next 2 races. I'm sure Naveen or anwin will not have the fullest reason to be happy for Ferrari's victory... hehe. But, I'm celebrating.

Hi People, Its quite sometime I posted something. So today I wanted to post something interesting, but didn't find any. But there was an incident in the office when we were talking about some interesting things, we were talking about Love, girls, beer. The sad part was most of the eldest colleagues of mine settled for only the 1st! But I stood for the other two... Ha ha.

But what does this topic got to do with Tag lines?
When talking about this I told the tag lines of these 3 things... I created only 1, the rest already exist.
1) Love - Loss of valuable energy
2) Girls - The most tiresome component that could potentially give very high incentives ;-)
3) Beer - Helping ugly people have sex since 1862.

Now having successfully told the 3 tag lines spontaneously, I got the idea of making a couple more think on the same line and create tag lines for the same 3 components. But a different ones ofcource.

Hello People, Its been quite some time from my previous post. But, why has it been like that??? Cos I had "No time". This is one word, I always hated, when someone says "I have no time". Its total rubbish if someone cannot spare 10 mins in a day. Well, my case is the same. When ever I start to write a post some new issues will come and I'll have to stop writting. Same tyhing happened 3 times.
Same thing again, I had to stop this post to call someone and typing this 2nd paragraph after 30 mins. Today I'm determined to write something... OK, getting back to the point, in the morning, I have time but no mood to sit and post anything. In the office I'd really want to write something, but no time. And the worst are hte weekends. Its been 42 days in chennai till now and 5 weekends completed. Only 1 of it was mine. The one when I was in Bangalore. Hopefully, the next one should be mine. I have no work to do next weekend. at last I have typed something for you to read and wate 5 mins of your time. Success!!!! You can get back to work. Thx.

Hello people, its quite some time, I posted anything. Was caught with training, and other stuff in the office and didn't get an opportunity to post anything. Now its a little free. This weekend I had been to Bangalore to meet my friends. Saturday afternoon went to the house and Started off to National Market. Guess what we did there... We purchased DVDs worth 3400/- approx. Oh man, we just kept buying stuff and suddenly realized that it summed up to 3K! Came back home, and sat down to party. The night was quite long. Next day... a lazy morning, at around 12:00 Called Mag and went to meet her in the office. Had a great time, we went to Pizza hut and had a combo that filled my stomach for the next 5 hours. Well, I'm seeing her after close to 1 month. She was'nt;t there even on last day. Anyway, guys, mentioning the term 'had a great time' post to the statement 'went to meet her in the office' does NOT mean that I did not have good time at home with you guys. I DID have an awesome time there as well. So no confusions! please...
Later that night started off back to Chennai. That was a cranky journey :-( And bytheway, Madhu(one of my room mates in Bangalore) got his project transferred to Chennai. So he will be back to Chennai from next week. But whats my incentive? I get another glass mate here ;-)!

Hello guys, Now, Its a week in Chennai and I should say its not as hot as I expected it to be. And the new office is really good. Got nice people around and at last something looks like its going to be a lil challenging... after a long time. Just physically away from my previous office, I already got information that few good and bad things are happening to people there. Hope everything turns out well very soon.
Form, over here, Haven't found anything interesting here. Well, its just a week here and my 1st weekend in Chennai after a long 3 years. Will have to find new people and start fishing as soon as possible. Yes, I will have to fish and send some photos to one of my friends to prove that there ARE few good, in fact Great fishes in Chennai as well ;-).
Its also the 1st Weekend, I'll probably spend without beer after a long time. To ad more oil to the fire, Naveen had to call me at early morning 3:30 only to tell me that those guys are drinking nd partying whole night. You'll regret this dude. I'll over there soon to meet you guys.
By the way, Few things you guys might want to know.
* My office gives me a cab that’s air conditioned whenever I travel.
* I don’t have o be in office exactly in time to save myslef from being marked red next day. I can come in even 5 or 10 mins late. It doesn't matter. (I won't be late anyway).
* All I need to do is Fix and let them know.
I was requested to choose a name for the clients to pronounce easily. I chose Zeon, but its to 'Filmy'. Later froze on 'Kevin'. I'll be Kevin in the office. ;-)

FIFA World cup 2006 - The best world cup I've watched

The football Fever is finally coming to an end. This is one fever that I Dont want to get rid off. But, the tournament has already come to an end this Sunday. That was a very good finals between Italy and France. Italy played a good game against the French. And so was the fightback as well. Zidane's penalty shot was a wonderful goal. It was indeed sad that he had to get a red card on his last match in this career. Could' have kept his cool for few more minutes and that might have changed the result. But yes, the Italians on the other hand did play well to earn the well deserved trophy.
I'll have to wait for another 4 years to watch Brazil become the champions for the 6th time. But they, this is the best world cup football I've seen. It was wonderful the coverage was awesome. And the best part was the ESPN and Star sports channel were telecasted in almost all the towns possible to make the football-loving crowd happy. The 1 month tournament went so fast that I'm suddenly left with sleepless nights atleast till 1:30 AM to 2:00.
The next big show is in South Africa. And somewhere in the deepest corner of my mind, I hope that India will or rather should be good enough by then to atleast enter the world cup.
